A number of people at the Sound Control guitar shop in central London are trying out guitars. Mysteriously, each begins to drone in the key of D-major. The shop employees become suspicious of the drone and attempt to separate people from their instruments. The drone expands and contracts as participants join or are weeded out by the employees. Most of the droners are unknown to each other, having been invited to the shop over the blind medium of radio. The results are broadcast live on Resonance FM and a CD of the broadcast is delivered anonymously to the shop the following morning.
