The Fire Show 1999 - 2002
Or iginally known as X-Vessel, The Fire Show was formed by Seth Kim-Cohen and Michael Lenzi in response to needs, both internal and external. Whereas their previous band, Number One Cup had swum with the fishes of the lo-fi indie movement, making petit mal pop songs of dense concision, The Fire Show went its own way into unforgiving artpunk, noiseblues. Songs became longer and more oblique in form, while the content became more raw, more personal, more honest, yet disarmingly poetic. The band lasted a short 3+ years.
