A commissioned composition for The New York Miniaturist Ensemble, who exclusively perform pieces of 100 notes or fewer.

Possibly the longest composition ever written for continuous performance by live players. One note is performed at each concert for 99 consecutive performances. Then all 99 are performed at the 100th. Brevity is a Sol LeWitt pays tribute to the recently departed conceptualist by a) punning on his name, b) by acting as a set of verbal instructions for the ensemble to execute, and c) by conflating the categories of mini- and maxi-.
